I love the Christmas season. I love the music and the lights and the Spirit surrounding this holiday, not to mention taking time for family and friends and service and sharing and giving. And speaking of giving...
this week i-tunes is giving away an ENTIRE Album of music, not just their regular free weekly single. They are calling it their holiday sampler and I just downloaded it. Get yours too. Click the image! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

My favorite Chrismas quote:
"He who gives of his money - gives MUCH.
He who gives of his time - gives MORE.
He who gives of himself gives ALL."

Birthing Options

I just watched the BUSINESS OF BEING BORN last night. It is a documentary about natural child birth using midwives and then medical and interventive medicine. It was produced by Ricki Lake and filmmaker Abby Epstein. To read reviews you can look at Amazon

Tonight, I discoverd a YouTube Channel called My Best Birth where several celebrities speak about their experiences with natural child birth, usually assisted by a midwife.

This is an important decision to be making, one in which alot of thought, study and prayer should accompany, because people will still what they can

care

Together WE can make a difference! I believe that it is one of our
responsibilities in this life to help those who are less fortunate than we are.

The Q-Link Challenge

I am so excited about the Q-Link and Sympathetic Resonance Technology (STR)!!!

I have been wearing the Q-Link now for about 4 years now! I know ~wow! Over the years I have had many responses ranging from critics to skeptics to those who are genuinely interested! And there are always questions...

I've had to change how I explain it, and sometime realize that I need to understand the mechanics behind the Q-Link more to do it justice when explaining its purpose and role. But my common answer is that it is a PERSONAL EMF PROTECTOR :) They love that!

I recently had someone laugh at me (it wasn't the first time) and I decided to find some testimonials online and then proceeded to send them to numerous YouTube videos where it shows those that were skeptical, but how they saw the benefits once they wore it, not to mention ALL the golf players around the world that use and praise it for improved performance!

Just a few days later, I came across a website inviting those who are active in social networking to attempt the Q-Link Challenge, where they would receive a FREE (yes, free) Q-Link and then to take a test involving concentration, accuracy etc and to then wear the Q-Link for 2 weeks and to see how the results of the test change!

I of course was interested and wanted to take this time to get an impartial person to assist me in this challenge! Since I already wear one, and so I had my friend Martha take the test (results below) and she has begun wearing the Q-Link. In 2 weeks we will report what we find from the test and how she feels overall.

On Tuesday Martha began wearing the Q-Link and this is what she had to say: "So I just started using the Q-link. I'm pretty open minded about it. Jacqueline is so great! She recommended it to me so we'll see what happens. It will be rad to see if it helps my health/concentration."

A perfect score for Attention, Motor Speed Accuracy and Global Performance is 100% for each.
Higher scores are better, except reaction time (measured in milliseconds) lower score is better.

ATTENTION reflects how vigilant you are in tracking the numbers in the middle of the display ("speed limit" response). The test measures the ability to maintain focus, track information over brief and continuous periods of time thus reflecting whether a subject can perform attention based mental tasks quickly and accurately..

GLOBAL PERFORMANCE is an average of the two scores, Attention and Motor Speed Accuracy. This percentage allows a subject to see an overall "single" number summary score for a quick assessment of performance over a group of serial tests.

MOTOR SPEED ACCURACY reflects how well you keep the crosshairs on the logo. This test measures perceiving, attending/responding to incoming and changing targets with a mouse by measuring speed, fine motor coordination, and visual-perceptual ability.

REACTION TIME reports the "speed limit" response in milliseconds, the lower the score the better. Like all these tasks, reaction time measurement is relevant to everyday activities such as driving a car, competing in sports, tracking and responding to a set of simple instructions in an appropriate time.

NEVER GIVE UP

This was the best scene from the movie FACING THE GIANTS.

O Spirit, All Embracing

I went to BYU University Chorale Spring recital on June 13th at the Provo Tabernacle. The last song was "O Spirit, All Embracing" by Gustav Holst. The audiance was invited to sing the third verse. It was amazing and I wanted to share the words, music here and a video from YouTube.

3. "Come, passion's power holy, thy insight here impart, and give they servants lowly and understanding heart to know thy care more clearly when faith and love are tried, to seek thee more sincerely when false ideals have died: for visions we implore thee, for wisdoms pure delight: in prayer we come before thee to wati upon thy light."

The Devil & the Duck

This was also a forwarded email I got from a friend. I do not know who the author was and do not claim creative responsibility from it. I just felt it had a great message to share with others. Enjoy!

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.

He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.

He practised in the woods;

but he could never hit the target.

Getting a little discouraged,

he headed back for dinner.

As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it.

He was shocked and grieved!

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile;

only to see his

Sister watching! Sally had seen it all,

but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said,

'Sally, let's wash the dishes'

But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me

he wanted to help in the kitchen.'

Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'

So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'

Sally just smiled and said, 'well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help?

She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both

his chores and Sally's;

he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed

that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.'

Thought for the day and every day thereafter:

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done...? And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is..

You need to know that:

God was standing at the window and

He saw the whole thing.

He has seen your whole life... He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven.

He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that

when you ask for forgiveness;

He not only forgives you, but He forgets.

It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.

Go ahead and make the difference

in someone's life today.

Share this with a friend and always remember:

God is at the window!

Remember...

Last week I was talking to a friend, Cherylyn, about my new goals and mission for life and she told me about Carol Tuttle, who was involved in mind-body healing. I later found out from my other friends, Sarah - who had been telling about a book called "Remembering Wholeness" that it was also written by Carol.

I did a little research and facebook, twitter, her blog and website later I know a little more about this dynamic individual out to change the world! I like what I have read on her website and have signed up for her weekly emails. I also intend on doing the three day trial of her online resourcs.

Today, she sent me a really fun, inspiring musical photographic message presentation and I want to share it with you all. To see the presentation click here! Enjoy!

A Lesson On Patience

With so many emails coming into my inbox daily, I don't always get around to reading the forwarded messages ~ you know what I mean ~ but I did read this one today and I will share it with you here! The source of the it is unknown. I also found a similar article online for more reading click here: Why does Success take so long?

The FERN & The BAMBOO

One day I decided to quit ... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality ... I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. "God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?" His answer surprised me..."Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?" "Yes", I replied. "When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did NOT quit on the bamboo!

In the second year, the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did NOT quit on the bamboo". He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would NOT quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would NOT give up on it." He said. "Then in the fifth year a 'tiny sprout' emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern, it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall!! It had spent the five years growing ROOTS.... Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle." He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, YOU have actually been GROWING ROOTS! I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on YOU.

Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a 'different purpose' than the fern, yet, they BOTH make the forest beautiful.." "Your time will come," God said to me. "You will rise high!" I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will NEVER give up on you...

Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you 'Happiness'.
Bad days give you 'Experiences'.
Both are 'essential' to life.
Keep going . . . . . . .
Happiness keeps you 'Sweet',
Trials keep you 'Strong',
Sorrows keep you 'Human',
Failures keep you 'Humble',
Success keeps you 'Glowing',
But Only God keeps 'You Going'!

The Wise Heart

I began learning and practising meditation recently and our meditation guide has read out of " The Wise Heart: A Guide to the Universal Teachings of Buddhist Psychology" by Jack Kornfield a few times! I was always left stunned at an idea or thought that was shared. I found myself seeing and thinking about things in ways I never had! Talk about a different perspecive! I purchased my own copy yesterady and began reading today ~ I love it!!! I am finding peace and joy in awareness, acceptance and mindfulness!

Time for Change

"Without CHANGE there can be no breakthrough, without breakthrough there can be no future."

Image Source: David Reece on Flicker

I have felt a that I have been floundering for a while. I have felt little desire for things and little excitement about life and the future! But all that changed! I began saying "Thats enough!" I talked with many friends and family and began looking for my purpose. I got lots of good advice and comments like "Neglect not the gift that is within you" and "Trust yourself". I prayed and fasted to know that I needed to do with my life, what my mission was. God did answer... and when he did it was so beautiful to see how he had been preparing me for this my whole life. As I told my freinds what I had decided and what hadled to finding answers I could see the tapestary of my life coming together like a fine pice of art. I could see threads running through moments of my life that I was lost, moments where I was in pain, moments when I feared and lacked faith. But God rewards diligent, patient faith and it was miraculous!

Now I hope to inspire others to make the changes necessary to havfe purpose, direcetion, fulfillment, joy and peace! Lets enjoy the ride of discovery and the journey together!
